A Lincolnshire Hall

“Few houses in the country fill one with such delight” is how this home is described in Pevsner’s Architectural Guide of Great Britain and Ireland.

Driving towards this 'Moated Medieval House’, under the delicate and elegant wrought iron gates, past a herd of fallow deer and through acres of parkland, you feel a sense of history. This home was the main entrance to the manor house, it is a small part of the whole building that has been turned into a family home. Original flooring, grand proportions and historic stained glass windows, we have never seen a deVOL Kitchen in such important surroundings.

A deVOL Classic English Kitchen was the only choice for this room which was once a hallway, then turned into a bar and now a family kitchen. The new owners moved in and worked with the grand features wholeheartedly, transforming it into a room with everything. Huge bespoke cupboards to house the fridge and pantry, tall glazed cupboards to store, but allow you to view, lovely collections of crockery and glassware. A simple sink run with fine art on the walls and a really good sized prep table, the ultimate piece of furniture for a truly functional family kitchen.

A few touches of modernity add some fun to the room and the addition of one of our Haberdasher's glass sideboards was the finishing touch. We love customers who mix things up a bit but always stick to the rule of quality over quantity. Hanging out in this room, the doors open, an endless view of the English countryside and a quietness that you seldom hear was just perfection.
