Bond Street, New York
We are looking for a friendly and helpful person to help out in our busy NYC showroom on Saturdays.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Meeting and greeting our customers in the showroom and guiding them through the showroom with knowledge of our products and design process.
- Ensuring the showroom is in immaculate condition throughout the day and brochures and information leaflets are well stocked throughout the showroom.
- Offering and making teas and coffees for staff and any customers who have design appointments or are keen to stay for a long browse of the showroom.
- Keeping the staff kitchen tidy and ensuring it's well stocked.
- Monitoring and answering general inquiries emails (depending on experience).
- Assisting with any showroom sales, including antique pieces and any deVOL products which are sold directly out of the showroom.
- Preparing brochures and paint sample requests for mail collections.
We would love you to have:
- Availability to work every Saturday ideally. Or a minimum of 7 Saturday’s in any 8 week period.
- An open, personable, and friendly approach, with a level of professional confidence when meeting our customers.
- An ability to quickly take on and understand information about our products and processes.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Previous customer-facing experience, such as working in a similar shop or showroom.
- A passion for interiors. - Prior knowledge of deVOL and our products is an added bonus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with basic arithmetic.
- An ability to use Microsoft Office and/or Google alternatives is a bonus.
Details of the role:
Our Showroom is open on Saturdays from 10am until 5pm. All staff have a 30-minute lunch break at any
convenient time during these hours. Compensation for this role will be at a rate of $20 per hour, not
including lunch break.

We are currently looking for a high organised, friendly and approachable individual to join our team in the New York showroom.
You will be an integral part of the team and first point of contact for all deVOL customers. You will be joining a team of highly experienced designers and will need to be able to work efficiently to prioritise workload whilst maintaining excellent written and verbal communications with our customers. The position will also involve supporting the design team with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the showroom.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Coordinating all customer appointments and liaising between the customers and designers. This includes; talking to customers about the deVOL design process and our products, collecting all relevant design information from the customers, collecting design fees where necessary and preparing design information packs for designers ahead of meetings.
- Meeting and greeting our customers in the showroom and guiding them through the showroom with knowledge of our products and design process.
- Responding to all new US design and general enquiries via email, over the phone and in the showroom. This includes liaising with our UK based websales team for accessories orders where necessary.
- Preparing estimated costs for potential design customers.
- Drawing up room plans for appointments.
- Assisting with keeping records of customers enquiries and sales conversions.
- Managing showroom samples and liaising with the UK accessories teams regarding new products.
- Organising the dispatch of brochures and assisting designers with sending out samples to our customers.
- Keeping the office and kitchen well stocked with necessary supplies and ensuring that the showroom is kept tidy and ready for all customer appointments and walk-ins.

- A willingness to be a team player, get involved in all aspects of the showroom and adapt to the changing requirements of this fast paced business.
- An ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- An ability to use Microsoft Office and Google alternatives.
- Experience in using Autocad or a similar 2D CAD package is a bonus but we are willing to provide training and support for the right candidate.
Compensation for this role will range from $60k-$68k per year, depending on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, or qualifications.
