The Islington N1 Kitchen

A Victorian house, beautiful stone steps up to a grand front door and a tree lined crescent, that’s the home to this rather splendid Classic English Kitchen. Downstairs, below street level the family have created a complete living space with views onto an urban garden designed and planted to attract birds and wildlife. The Kitchen is spread out over four areas, a huge Aga is the centre of the cooking area and a simple island with bespoke wooden worktops houses dishwashers and bins. A wall of glazed base and wall cupboards creates a very traditional style of storage for a Victorian home. Finally, a little corner of the room designated to laundry and utility jobs, what a wonderful room to entertain and host parties in. Wow, we love this new Classic Kitchen.

What makes this kitchen so appealing is the soft textures and tones. The cool stone floor is pale and feels natural and not too polished, which contrasts perfectly with the soft colours of the clean crisp cupboards. Not everything is the same, there are subtle changes; wood, stone and a wall of super slick doors and windows. It's always the rooms with a little bit of everything that work best, whether it's eccentric and quirky or classic and simple, it has to have some personality. Our customers are the kind of people that have the knowledge and style to be able to create a space that is really special.
