Description

A double lamp, what a statement this piece is. It has such an original look it almost feels weird, in a good way. You probably wouldn’t buy more than one of these library lamps as it requires a considered location. Originally these double lights were located in libraries, every student’s table would have one and the vision of dozens of these in rows was quite spectacular. A console table in a hallway, on a landing, in a nook under the stairs or as a centerpiece on a large family table, this lamp will definitely cause a stir, but in a very stylish way. We also realised it looks like our gaselier but upside down!! We do hope you love it as much as we do.
 

This light includes:

  • 2 creamware ceramic shades
  • a tubular brass frame and base
  • 2 articulated E26 lampholders with cuffs
  • a black in-line switch, 1.5 feet from the base
  • 8 feet of burgundy twisted flex cord
  • a black three pin mains plug
     

Bulbs not included - 60W recommended.

Care & Maintenance

Metal finishes should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Harsh cleaners and abrasive pads will damage and remove the finish. Always switch off the mains power before cleaning the fittings.

Always remove the shade before cleaning - taking care not to lose the shade ring or brass cuff. The shade can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a lint free cloth. Abrasive pads could scratch and damage the surface.

Spare/replacement parts are available for this light, please contact our customer service team if needed.

Our lights are all handcrafted and assembled in the UK. We make every effort to source our materials and components from local suppliers in the UK.

Almost all of our packaging is recyclable and our designers are constantly working with suppliers to make improvements in this area.

We offer one tracked service from DHL, all items are sent from our UK workshops. Orders will be dispatched only when all items are ready and they should arrive within 2-4 business days. If you wish to receive individual items as soon as they are ready, please consider placing them as separate orders.

Returns

This item is eligible for return within 28 days of delivery.

Any items returned to us in the condition in which they were sent will be refunded in full, excluding any delivery fees and a 10% restocking fee.

We are unable to cover any return postage costs, or any loss or breakages that occur during the return process. We therefore recommend that returns are made using the original packaging with a tracked, insured and signed for service.

The Grand Tour Collection

We love this remarkable time in history, a kind of prelude to the slightly less exotic ‘gap year’ of today.

What an experience a young gentleman would have in the late 17th to early 19th century if he was from a wealthy family. He would spend several years, after his formal education was done, travelling through Europe with his entourage. Beginning in Dover and spending considerable time in Paris and Switzerland, travelling through the Alps and onto the cultural mecca of Italy. Learning languages and the importance of art and culture was the goal, bringing back marble statues, paintings, and an eye for exotic design. Their newfound knowledge influenced the design of everything from houses to objects when they finally returned to the British Isles.

Our Grand Tour collection of lights is inspired by this fascinating time in history when unusual and unique styles merged. Sophisticated, beautifully crafted and made to reflect the importance of quality and style.
