The Big Apple – Part III

29th March 2018

By Sophie Jackson

Our last morning in the Big Apple well and truly put a cherry on the top of our New York (cheese) cake! (Check out the rest of our trip here: part 1 & part 2)

Whilst a trip to the top of the Empire State building is one of the things you just have to do in New York, I fancied actually seeing the Empire State building from way up high so we took a trip to the top of the Rockefeller Centre – not a bad alternative at all!

We had just enough time for an autumnal walk in Central Park before catching our train back to Philadelphia. Making furry friends along the way…

I must admit I became a little overly snap-happy (I’ve restrained myself on here!) – the sunshine coming through the autumnal array of leaves was pretty mesmerising. Being beneath the trees it was a glowing hub where it truly felt like you were wearing (forget rose-tinted) gold-tinted glasses!

Definitely one of the most gorgeous times of the year to see the Big Apple, I would absolutely recommend it. The perfect end to an incredible long weekend and one I will certainly never forget.
