A simple chandelier of sorts, made with our translucent porcelain shades which give off the most captivating glow. This absolutely classic light is perfect for above an island or dining table and has a rare subtlety that has enchanted all who see it. The aged brass frame is rigid and can be ordered in three sizes to ensure the height is correct for your requirements, we recommend keeping your gaselier as low as you can to fully benefit from its beauty and ethereal light.
This double light is from our Heirloom Collection, which features a range of homewares that have been inspired by historical pieces we have seen at antique fairs or in large Victorian and Georgian stately homes.
The gaselier was born and recreated by Robin, our Managing Director, after a memorable visit to the below-stairs kitchens of Lanhydrock House in Cornwall. It features a handmade brass arm which is reminiscent of very early electrical light fittings that were made in the late Victorian period whilst gas lighting was still predominant. These light fittings were made of turned brass components and brass tubes by the makers of gas light fittings.
