New York
We are looking for a confident, creative, and highly motivated Kitchen Designer to join our high-performing design team at our Bond Street showroom in New York City. This role is suited to a designer with 1-2 years of relevant experience, who is able to lead their own design projects, be confident consulting customers and delivering exceptional kitchen designs from the beginning and throughout the process.
deVOL Kitchens is known for its distinctive style and thoughtful approach to design. Our designers are trained to ensure every customer receives a highly considered and a personal experience throughout the design process. As a Kitchen Designer, you will be expected to quickly immerse yourself in our design principles, furniture styles, and product knowledge, to enable you to confidently represent the brand.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Leading customer consultations and design meetings in the showroom and via Zoom/Teams calls, guiding clients through the full design process
- Interpreting customers room plans and requirements to create thoughtful kitchen layouts using DraftSight (or similar CAD software)
- Preparing detailed and accurate kitchen quotations using Microsoft Excel
- Managing your own base of customer projects from initial inquiry and throughout the process
- Working closely with the UK-based project management and production teams to progress kitchens from approved designs into manufacture
- Meeting and greeting clients in the showroom, and answering and directing phone calls and email enquiries
- Contributing to a beautifully presented showroom and maintaining a professional, well-organised working environment
We Would Love You To:
- Have 1–2 years of experience in kitchen design or a closely related design-based role. Ideally combined with a degree in furniture/product design, interior design, interior architecture, or a related design discipline
- Demonstrate a strong passion for interiors and kitchen design, with pride in producing high-quality, considered work
- Be confident leading client conversations and managing multiple projects at the same time
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong numerical ability and confidence preparing clear written correspondence and accurate quotations
- Be comfortable learning and adapting quickly to new systems, processes, and product ranges
- Have good experience using CAD software (DraftSight, AutoCAD, or similar), Microsoft suite (and/or similar packages), and a willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Enjoy working in a team-based environment, while taking ownership of your own individual workload
This is a full-time role, based at our Bond Street Showroom. For the right candidate, compensation will range from $70,000–$80,000 per year, depending on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience and qualifications.

We are looking for a creative, organised individual with a genuine passion for design and interiors to join our high-performing design team at our Bond Street showroom in New York City. This is a junior, supportive role suited to someone at the beginning of their design career who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and play an integral part in creating beautiful designs for our customers in the distinctive style that deVOL is known for. You will work closely with our Senior Designers and Managers, offering assistance across every stage of the kitchen design and ordering process.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Drawing up customer room plans and creating kitchen layouts using our 2D CAD software (DraftSight), under the supervision of a Kitchen Designer
- Assisting Senior Designers throughout the full kitchen design process
- Being involved in customer design meetings and assisting with ongoing design work
- Preparing detailed kitchen quotations using Microsoft Excel
- Assisting with the internal processing of kitchen orders in line with company processes
- Meeting and greeting clients in the showroom, and answering and directing telephone and email enquiries
- Working closely with the wider UK design and project management teams to ensure the highest standards of design and customer service are offered and met on each project
- Contributing to a beautifully presented showroom and maintaining a professional, well-organised working environment
We Would Love You To:
- Have a degree in furniture/product design, interior design, interior architecture, or a related design discipline
- Have a strong interest in interiors and kitchen design, showing pride in producing high-quality designs
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong numerical ability, with confidence in preparing clear correspondence and accurate quotations.
- Be organized and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced showroom environment
- Have good experience using CAD software (DraftSight, AutoCAD, or similar), Microsoft suite (and/or similar packages), and a willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Have some prior experience in a customer-facing role, as a bonus, but is not fully essential

Los Angeles
We are looking for a friendly and helpful person to help out in our busy LA showroom on Saturdays.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Meeting and greeting our customers in the showroom and guiding them through the showroom with knowledge of our products and design process.
- Ensuring the showroom is in immaculate condition throughout the day, and brochures and information leaflets are well stocked throughout the showroom.
- Offering and making teas and coffees for staff and any customers who have design appointments or are keen to stay for a long browse of the showroom.
- Keeping the staff kitchen tidy and ensuring it's well stocked.
- Monitoring and answering general inquiries emails (depending on experience).
- Assisting with any showroom sales, including antique pieces, in addition to any deVOL products, which are sold directly out of the showroom.
- Preparing brochures and paint sample requests for mail collections.
We would love you to have:
- Availability to work every Saturday, ideally. Or a minimum of 7 Saturdays in any 8-week period.
- An open, personable, and friendly approach, with a level of professional confidence when meeting our customers.
- An ability to quickly take on and understand information about our products and processes.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Previous customer-facing experience, such as working in a similar shop or showroom.
- A passion for interiors (prior knowledge of deVOL and our products is an added bonus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with basic arithmetic.
- An ability to use Microsoft Office and/or Google suite alternatives is a bonus.
Our Showroom is open on Saturdays from 10am until 5pm. All staff have a 30-minute lunch break at any convenient time during these hours. Compensation for this role will be at a rate of $22 per hour, not including the 30-minute lunch break.
