The Heirloom Task Light

Description

An elegant and somewhat unusual wall light, a handmade creamware shade, aged brass brackets and rather beautiful grand proportions. It's available in two sizes, the large light serves a slightly different purpose to a normal-sized wall light due to its size and uniqueness, it's really rather special.

Inspired by the kitchens of stately homes, this 'Task Light' is placed high up on the wall where it casts a wide pool of light over a big area of worksurface. If you have high ceilings and like something that casts plenty of light and has real character, the task light is just perfect. We love to see them in two's, perhaps on either side of large shuttered windows, creating balance and scale.

This new light by deVOL is called a 'Task Light' because we love practical things, but we also love beautiful things, quirky things, and exquisitely made things. The Task Light has comfortably fitted into all these categories, it's our first light specifically designed for high ceilings.
 

This light includes:

  • a creamware ceramic shade
  • a 5/8" tubular brass arm
  • an E26 lampholder with brass cuff
  • an oiled oak pattress & fixings
     

Bulb not included - 60W recommended.

Care & Maintenance

Metal finishes should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Harsh cleaners and abrasive pads will damage and remove the finish. Always switch off the mains power before cleaning the fittings.

Always remove the shade before cleaning - taking care not to lose the shade ring or brass cuff. The shade can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a lint free cloth. Abrasive pads could scratch and damage the surface.

Spare/replacement parts are available for this light, please contact our customer service team if needed.

Sustainability

Our lights are all handcrafted and assembled in the UK. We make every effort to source our materials and components from local suppliers in the UK.

Almost all of our packaging is recyclable and our designers are constantly working with suppliers to make improvements in this area.

Please recycle your packaging in accordance with local regulations.

You can view a full delivery quote for your basket and shipping address in the checkout. All charges shown include any applicable tax and duty. State tax is calculated in the checkout.

We offer one tracked service from DHL, all items are sent from our UK workshops. Orders will be dispatched only when all items are ready and they should arrive within 3-5 working days. If you wish to receive individual items as soon as they are ready, please consider placing them as separate orders.

Returns

This item is eligible for return within 28 days of delivery.

Any items returned to us in the condition in which they were sent will be refunded in full, excluding any delivery fees and a 10% restocking fee.

We are unable to cover any return postage costs, or any loss or breakages that occur during the return process. We therefore recommend that returns are made using the original packaging with a tracked, insured and signed for service.
