Doesn’t everyone love an old door? There is an endless fascination with their size, colour and age. Wherever you go in the world there are huge, closed doors and tiny doors to peep through, any which way they offer intrigue, insight and a photo opportunity. The door may be laden with layers of paint or chipped lacquer and faded with age, but the star is always the expertly polished door handle.

When we fitted the Elodie to a door for photographing we fell for its ability to work like an exquisite piece of jewellery, not too big, but bold enough to shine and make an impression.
