10 things we’ve Loved in London

6th November 2015

By Zoe Parker

Our #LovedinLondon social media project has been going so well and it seems like everyone is loving the little taste of London life. We’ve been having so much fun taking these images, posting them up and chatting with you all about the lovely restaurants or the cute little shops or whatever else Londony it may be that we’ve posted about that day. These photos have also led to us connecting with lots of local Exmouth Market and London businesses, Instagram really does feel like a little community, doesn’t it?

I thought I’d do a roundup of our fave #LovedinLondon posts from the last couple of weeks, just in case you’ve missed them on social media.

1. Caravan

We stopped off at the super cool ‘Caravan’ on Exmouth Market for brunch and oh my goodness it was amazing. These guys do incredible coffee and the menu includes some good old classics and some quirky dishes, but trust us, it’s all yummy!

2. A pretty walk to work

Believe it or not, this beautiful old building sits right on the canal just by Bromley by Bow tube station in East London. I walk through these cobbled streets every day on my way to work, they’re so quaint and you feel as though you’re a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of London life… I caught the setting looking particularly beautiful, just as the sun was rising the other morning.

– You’ll find this spot just a five minute walk from Bromley by Bow station at Three Mill Lane, London, UK, E3 3DU

3. Briki

The perfect start to any morning is with a coffee from Briki on Exmouth Market, just opposite our Clerkenwell showroom. These guys also do incredibly tasty lunchtime salads, juices and cakes, oh and you’ve got to try the spinach and feta pie… it’s insane! We love this place.

4. Colourful Houses

London’s colourful houses always make us happy. There’s so many to see all over the city, and we spotted these pretty pastel ones just by Camden Road Station. I want the pink one!

5. Café Pistou

Café Pistou on Exmouth Market was looking very cute and very autumnal the other day. I really love the turquoise colour of this little French brasserie, more than enough to put a smile on your face on a dull and dreary day!

6. Hot Chocolate at Chin Chin Labs

Quite possibly the best hot chocolate, ever. Chin Chin Labs of Camden specialise in Nitro Ice-cream, but they’ve brought back their very special hot chocolates for the winter. A big cup of thick, creamy, hot chocolatey, marshmallowy loveliness, yum!

7. All Star Lanes

We went for a work night out to All Star Lanes in Holborn and we all had so much fun. The food is actually really great, American Diner style, and the bowling is even better! A proper old school bowling alley with a cool vibe, it’s the perfect alternative to a night at the pub.

8. Regent’s Canal

Escaping the busy city life for a lovely, chilled out walk down Regent’s Canal is such a treat. How beautiful is this place!? This section of water is as the canal winds its way so peacefully through Camden Market.

– Regent’s Canal is 8.6 miles long and runs just above central London     – www.visitlondon.com

9. Picturehouse Central

A very cool and quirky alternative to your regular cinema, the Picturehouse Central has a lovely restaurant and bar, and shows a mix of independent and mainstream box office movies. Letty went to see ‘The Lobster’ the other night, she said it was amazing and recommends it to all!

10. The Pink Pantaloon Co at Barber Streisand

Definitely the coolest place to get a trim in London, we absolutely love Barber Streisand on Exmouth market… how amazing is the name!! Even Barbra Streisand herself instagrammed a picture of this place. This shot is from a photoshoot our sister company, The Pink Pantaloon Co., did at the barber shop just the other day, we can’t believe how cool the finished shots look. And yes, that is me in the barber’s chair just casually getting my legs shaved, you know how it is!
