Our aged brass hanging rails measure 3/4" in diameter and they are available in several standard lengths. Each option includes a set number of brackets and aged brass s hooks. Oxidised brass s hooks are also available separately here.

All of our rails are made from a strengthened brass tube. Every rail, bracket and hook is individually aged by hand in our workshop, so each one is a little bit different. For a perfect fit, our rails can easily be cut to size by a confident tradesperson.

The 4ft rails are supplied in 2ft sections and the 6ft and 9ft rails are supplied in 3ft sections; any joins are strengthened by internal connectors and are concealed by the brackets. Matching aged brass screws included.

California residents, please refer to our Prop 65 CA WARNING

These hanging rails are handcrafted so the overall dimensions and hole locations can vary slightly. We recommend that you affix them to your walls individually rather than pre-drilling every hole.

Clean with mild soapy water and a soft towel. Harsh cleaners with bleach and scouring pads will scratch and damage the finish.

Almost all of our packaging is recyclable and our designers are constantly working with suppliers to make improvements in this area.

Please recycle your packaging in accordance with local regulations.

aged brass hanging rails, by deVOL

Our brass hanging rails come in a living aged finish which was developed and perfected by Stephanie O'Leary, an expert jeweller who has led our metal studio right from the beginning. The mottled patina is created using completely natural ingredients like vinegar and sawdust. It's amazing to watch and the results are different every single time, meaning every rail is just that little bit special. Once aged, the rails are sealed with a thin coat of wax to protect the finish.

The rails are secured to the wall with elegant round brackets that are strong enough to hold a good-sized saucepan and a few utensils, they should be equally spaced to give the best support to your rail and hide any joins on the really long ones.

This simple item, designed and crafted here at deVOL, has become a staple in almost every customer’s kitchen. Its possibilities are endless, from a simple little tea towel hanger on the end of an island to a long plant hanging rail attached to your ceiling. The fittings are beautifully made and really excellent quality, sturdy and strong but still elegant.

We adore this new product and can’t help wondering what on earth people did without them. From the bathroom to the basement, from the pantry to the parlour, these little gems are completely indispensable and addictive. Get one and you will be thinking of all the places you could do with another!
